Above the Clouds. Back to the Roots.
A Glimpse of Paradise
Perched between 1,550 and 1,950 meters, Pahaadisukoon offers a breathtaking escape where you can often find yourself standing quite literally above the clouds. Nestled right beside pristine forest land, the retreat commands an uninterrupted, panoramic view of the winding Alaknanda River and the town of Srinagar resting in the valley below. Here, your days begin with the quiet serenity of the Himalayas and end with warm conversations and wholesome food in our community dining hall. It is a sanctuary where the untouched beauty of nature meets the comfort of authentic, heartfelt hospitality.
The Journey Home
Pahaadisukoon is more than a retreat; it is a homecoming. After fulfilling careers in academia at the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Gujarat, Prof. Dinesh Baloni (Economist) and Dr. Neeta Baloni (Specialist in Co-operative Management) made a life-changing decision upon retirement. They chose to return to Prof. Dinesh’s birthplace—the serene village of Chachganda in the Tehri District of Uttarakhand. Driven by a deep desire to give back to their motherland, they transformed their ancestral land into a sanctuary that honors nature, spirituality, and community. Pahaadisukoon is their way of sharing the unparalleled peace of the Himalayas with the world.
